What is the fine in FFX County for illegal fireworks? I believe a neighbor just called the cops on someone and these were the big boomers going up in the sky - say 100 feet or more.

Move to Maryland. Your not even allowed to have sparklers there. You'll be safe from the big bad person celebrating too close to your paranoia. Living next to you is punishment enough. Mexico my ass, we need a wall along the Potomac river.

Marylands law system is 100000 times more relaxed over VA.

If you shoot a mortar of in MD you would get a warning, in VA you would probably get charged with a class 1 misdemeanor, just like going 10 mph over the limit is a class 1 misdemeanor here.

Dumbo, no it wasn't me who called the cops. I like them.
I think someone called them because their dogs got scared. Scares the hell out of them.
Maryland is slime pit, especially on "drivers on the road". Over 1/2 the cars are junkers with bad brakes.

(In Baltimore City and Montgomery and Prince George's counties, consumer use of all fireworks and ground-based sparklers is prohibited. Ground-based sparklers are prohibited in Ocean City, Maryland, and Howard and Harford counties. For information about what is allowed in neighboring jurisdictions, contact the Fire Marshal's office in that jurisdiction.)

Under Maryland law, the following are not classified as fireworks and are legal for backyard use in Baltimore County:

Toy pistols, toy canes, toy guns and other devices that use paper caps if the devices are constructed so that a hand cannot touch the cap when the cap is in place for use;
Hand-held sparklers that do not contain chlorates or perchlorates ("gold label" only);
Ground based sparkling devices that are non-aerial and non-explosive. Legal ground-based sparklers are stationary, sit on the ground and emit a shower of sparks several feet into the air. Some may whistle, but they do not pop or crack. They do not explode, shoot projectiles or move along the ground.
Paper-wrapped snappers that contain less than .03 grains of explosive composition;
Ash-producing pellets known as "snakes"

The state Fire Marshal provides a complete list of legal, ground-based sparkler devices. (PDF)

why would you think your ass is using fireworks in the city near high rises or in the city street? DUH.

Otherwise it's the EXACT same "policy made law" as communist fairfax county

Maryland is no different than VA as far as I see

Which says:

Any person, firm, or corporation who shall violate any of the Sections of this Chapter or any provisions of the Fire Prevention Code of Fairfax County adopted by Section 62-2-6 or shall fail to comply therewith, or who shall violate or fail to comply with any order made thereunder, or who shall fail to comply with such an order within the time fixed therein shall separately for each and every such violation and noncompliance respectively, be guilty of a violation of this Chapter and the violation shall be deemed a Class 1 Misdemeanor, and shall, upon conviction, be punishable by imprisonment not to exceed twelve (12) months or by a fine not to exceed Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) or both. Each day that a violation continues after a service of notice as provided for in this Code shall be deemed a separate offense.

Presumably even in Virginia you'd have to work at it to hit a $2,500 fine.

Maybe OP was the one setting the fireworks. The angry neighbor gave him a heads-up. The police hadn’t gotten there yet and he wanted to know if he should hide the evidence or set off a few more before the cops spoiled the fun.

If you're in the city, my son saw them. I just saw the tail end of a couple. I kept walking away because it took so long between each one, I thought they were done. Each time I turned away, I missed another one. But my son kept waiting and saw them all and thought they were great. He said "where can you get them?!"

Firing them off or having them isn't that bad, but transporting them over a state line is a FELONY.

So think twice before you head up to PA or out of state to transport them back. A felony doesn't look good on job applications and you can't vote.

At Breezewood they had a guy looking for VA plates at the fireworks places. They then waited for the people to leave and called in the car type to a VA trooper at the VA border. They nabbed a lot of people one year.

Certainly don't barely cross the VA state border, buy fireworks and come right back.

Every car parked at Phantom Breezewood is from out of state except for the employees. PA residents can't only not buy fireworks there, they're not even allowed to walk into the store.

I would like to see all of the people in my neighborhood who set off bottle rockets and other projectile fireworks given tickets. Instead of waiting for neighbors to complain (which isn't very effective), the police should have a few officers waiting in their cars the evening of the 4th in my neighborhood. It will be obvious who is setting off the illegal fireworks. Give them all tickets, and then they won't try it again. If the police got serious this way, then the use of illegal fireworks would stop, and the county would be pleasant on the 4th instead of sounding like a war zone.

All fireworks in any fashion, anywhere, for any reason should be banned because they pollute the atmosphere, and contribute to global warming.

Not sure where you got the info. but one of them was aneighbor of mine and he paid much less than 500 and served no time.

Also, your info. on the penalties applies to the SALE of said type of Fireworks, not the possession of.

People who use the term "cuck" the way you did are generally heavy users of porn.

I don't like seeing my neighborhood get raped every 4th of July. If it is un-American to oppose illegality that imposes on others, then I am un-American. I am also anti-immigration, both legal and illegal. I am tired of our country being raped by nonwhite immigration.
