I think OP's point about "shrugging it off" it evident by the 2 posts following the OP.
The truth is in the details and there have been so many conflicting stories about it that the report might do some good.
The emergency or terrorist attack @ Benghazi lasted 13 hours and nobody to help and orders to "hold fire"?

Today the congressional report comes out and MSM is remarking on Obama's absence from his daily National Security Briefing the morning following the attack in Benghazi.
