What's going on with the oak trees?

All the leaves are dying. Like 50% of the leaf surface area is brown and dead.

Oak trees don't lose their leave in the fall, like most other trees. The leaves turn brown and remain on the tree. When a new leaf is starting to form it pushes the old leaf off the tree. I don't think you are witnessing wilt.

+1 happened to all of my sycamore trees this spring as well.

Starts at the crown of the tree, the top which bald out and then it comes down the tree. Anthracnose starts on the lower limbs.
Oak Wilt can spread and kill off many Oaks. If that's it the State/County would be putting signs up not to prune Oaks in the summer. Trees infected with Oak Wilt usually have to be taken down.
