Celebrate Independence Day SR style at Star Spangled South Riding. Put on your red, white and blue! Don’t miss the event that helps you celebrate our Nation’s Independence! This year, Star Spangled South Riding will be held at the SR Golf Course. Presented by Kravitz Orthodontics.

The event kicks off with the Star Spangled Parade! Dress up your bike, wagon, stroller, or car with Fourth of July flag inspired frills and join the parade with star spangled pride! You may walk individually or as a group. The parade will leave from Town Hall (43055 Center Street) promptly at 5:00 pm. We will walk right on Center Street and right on Upper Clubhouse to end up at the SR Golf Course. (43237 Golf View Drive).

Bring a blanket or chair and pick out your area. From 6pm to 9:00pm enjoy music by The Reagan Years. Purchase food from one of our delicious vendors, or bring a picnic* from home and enjoy the summer night.

On the 4th..On the Metro Red Line .. From Around The Gallaudet Station down to the Fireworks.. 1pm on..Maybe you too can "Get a Feel..For The Steel" As it slides into your back..Then hear the laughter of the riders on your train.. It's a bit of a hike (about an hour or so, but not much traffic) but Sperryville, on 211 just this side of the Shenandoah vally puts on a nice display. They have all minds of rides for the kids, and a good assortment of food trucks and booths. We tailgate party style and go early. The fireworks are set off so you can see and hear them close up as it is in a small vally surrounded by hills and the effect is quite spectacular. Worth the trip. The volunteer fire department benefits so your entry fee is used for the community as well.
