FCPS Commencement Schedule Sucks

Who schedules a commencement ceremony at 7:30pm? And requires the graduates to be there at 6:00 -- when are they supposed to eat? Who's supposed to drop them off and wait 90 minutes in the parking lot? Supposed to have it in the morning, and take the grad to brunch with the family afterwards. Can't do that at 10:00pm.

Oh for flip flops sake, grow up. Students have to be there early because if they were told to be there at 7:00 2/3 of them would show up at 7:25 and not know what to do. Then that painful ceremony would last until midnight. Let your kid drive themselves or drop them off and go home - or out to dinner.
Feed your precious snowflake at 5:00 and have a celebration lunch with them the next day.
Tradition says that students graduate in the football field of their high school. NOT this crap of spending money to rent space with air conditioning. THAT is for the special snowflakes and their more special parents who whine that their kid needs to eat at a specific time.

The problem with FCPS Commencement Schedules is when you want to hold graduation at a location other than your football field or gym, you have to work around the venue's other scheduled activities, including other school graduation ceremonies. When they are being held at Patriot's Center and DAR, not everyone is going to be able to draw that 10:00 Saturday morning time slot.

I realize this may be a new concept for you but try figuring it out for yourself.
