Convicted Sex Offender Seen Taking Photos of Child in Library: Police
A convicted sex offender who is known to be frequenting area libraries was seen taking photos of a child at Herndon Fortnightly Library.

Herndon, VA - A convicted sex offender was seen taking photographs of a child in Herndon Fortnightly Library, according to the Town of Herndon Police Department. The library is located at 768 Center Street, Herndon.
Police say that on Saturday, June 11, Steven Michael Edwards was involved in an altercation in the Town of Herndon after he was observed taking photographs of a juvenile while at the library.
Edwards fled the area prior to police arrival. He not commit a crime by taking the photographs, according to police, but their investigation revealed he is a registered sex offender in Florida who has failed to re-register since his arrival in Virginia.
It is believed he is currently homeless, and he is known to be frequenting libraries in the area.
Edwards is a white male, age 58. He is 5'5", 125 pounds, and has brown hair and green eyes.

I take pictures of children leaving the bus stop every day.. Its sad that Lexi will be a 5th grader next year she gotta grow boobs soon. she ended school yesterday. LCPS ended school yesterday, but you will see me with my elementrey school friends at the pool cute girls

Virginia law requires that a sex offender, who must register in the jurisdiction where he was convicted to register in Virginia when he establishes a residence, becomes employed or attends school in Virginia. Additionally, Virginia law requires an offender to register in Virginia if he/she has been convicted of a "substantially similar charge" as those requiring registration in Virginia.

The article stated that Steven Michael Edwards is believed to be homeless. Maybe he is just visiting Virginia and heard that we have cute kids in our libraries. He wasn't committing a crime by taking photos, and he is not required to register in Virginia unless he resides, works, or attends school in Virginia.
Meanwhile there is an actual dangerous pedophile named William Moreno living at 713 Riverview Ct in Sterling.
