I priced them out several years ago...they were pretty high. I'd sub it out...get three or four bids for the work (where you know what tonnage you need) and see what happens. Hope this helps.

Don't do it, they will charge you way too much. Of course they just contract the job out, usually to Furr. Find small HVAC companies, get a few quotes.

I had the Costco hvac people contact me. Furr responded. I compared their price quote for a new hvac system against other companies. Do your homework before the brutal summer heat begins, and you won't be desperately taking whichever company calls you back first. Do your due diligence in comparing whatever quote you get from the Costco rep vs. other companies, and yeah, keep in mind the quality of workmanship you might expect from different companies. Yelp should have reviews, or Angies List. That sort of thing.
