Very sad. It's hard to believe that he is only 74. I hope that young people involved in boxing and MMA realize that brain damage and physical disability can result from repeated knockouts and blows to the head. It's hard to see someone so incredibly vibrant reduced to this terrible fate.

I don't really care about the Trump thing (he's on TV e-fucking-nough), but I wondered if the other stations were doing the same. Nope, all had on their regular programming. One ride I got was with a GI in greens who was at Ft Belvoir, we had a good talk, no animosity between us at all , my father was US Navy and I respected our military, he wanted to know why I was going. The Wrong way.., I told him I never had any part of the protests. He said as soon as he got out he was growing his hair out as the girls liked it..
On the way back up to Nova, the 2nd ride I got was a Vietnam vet with a brand new convertible, he bought with his allotment he save with no fed tax being in the combat zone, he was out, with anew car heding to V Beach and happy as hell, we had some good talk, no animosity at all again.. he bought me a 3.2 beer along the way, the road down by the N.C border and he had 1 too. A really good guy . I got out at Emporia and hitched back up to Nova having met some great Americans.

Today it might be up. the VFW AM guys were WW2 and Korea Vets, they had seen several years of tough fighting and thought 1 year in V.N was nothing like what they saw.. I would not say they hated the newer Nam Vets back then but I will say it was hard to get respect from them due to their own experiences in war.
