If the news of Jim Gilmore's potential gubernatorial candidacy is true, it's the first I've heard. Why he would do so is a mystery to me. He lost the 2008 Senate race by a 2-1 margin and his 2016 presidential bid went nowhere. It seems to me his political career is finished.

Next thing you know George Macaca Allen will try to make a comeback , too!

fx co gov is only paying interest on the loans they've made since democrats got in control of being able to sign for loans

but according to their own day sheets they are unable to keep up with paying the interest on the loans

(they are falling behind on their credit card payments - in gov but also in their own finances - despite their high pay)

the gov workers aren't paying taxes - and using USPS (mail) for free "because they're government". furthermore anyplace you can find info about fines you'll see fx co gov has made exceptions for their workers to dodge paying.

fx co gov "needs" the car tax to pay for FCPS and it's other boondogles

once again i urge you to notice and visit fx co gov web page

you'll see that Fairfax County Gov. visibly shows that not all of it's employees pay the car tax

i can tell you for SURE that this means there are also "policy" you cannot see posted of OTHERS who also do not pay car tax

(note: site is run by past city of DC employees - who i can't say i'd trust to even use the site as a normal user)

so you have a "super class" of families who use loans to hire illegals to do their labor - who spend other people's money and want high pay (not as high as some counties - but high) - who spend money that simply is not available to spend - who REFUSE to pay taxes though they have such an advantage already

the problem is local. it exists in other counties that's not our problem per say

the problem is world wide as well

the problem is counterfeiting - and what you see is some area with booming development and no real change in exports (they do nothing to earn it) and other areas (also families) with nearly NO development

the areas with no development are "saving" - but ie. *IRA - the areas that save and stay within budget never realize gains of doing so, because counterfeiting and corruption of the others inflate the savings to be a loss.

(* the great IRA scam of 2008 obama 1/2 of all of USA's worker savings dissapeared in the period of one year - NYSE never gave any real explination. 1/2 of all money people were able to set aside IN A LIFETIME of savings.)

the world is addicted to counterfeiting within government and waiting for chinese gifts to arrive by fed ex or ups, for iron to arrive at worksites from the earth without paying for all the fuel to transport it to the site

Gilmore sacrificed Richmond top down controll of counties and gave them EVERY OPPORTUNITY to, like Richmond had, stay within budget.

some (i have no idea which) did use it to stay in budget - but some chose to use it as an opportunity to get rich quick (fx co)

Often presidential bids are a way of getting name recognition for a later election. A candidate needs to be known, before gaining the potential to win.

Example:
Abe Lincoln lost more than once in his political career before he won.

Jim Gilmore is a good guy. I ran into him years ago during his governorship and he took time to speak with me.

Besides that -- he is a humble person and his policies were not so bad either.

Gilmore did not get rid of the car tax, but he helped by getting the state to pay a lot of the car tax for us...Today we only pay a stupidly high $5000-6000 tax on cars (over life of car), without Gilmore's help it would just be totally insane up to $10k-12k tax on a average $34000 car.
