FFU banned at Denny's in Fairfax

I couldnt get on FFU when I stopped in for breakfast! I couldn't get the latest eesh updates while I took a post grand slam dump.

Why would they do this?! How did they do it? I wasn't even on their wifi. Has anyone else experienced this disturbing delimma?

Could this be the work of that wacky fire chief dude? Is all hell breaking loose?

When you say you couldn't get on, do you mean you couldn't post on the site or that Fairfax Underground was totally blocked?

It would not surprise me at all if Fairfax Underground has managed to find its way onto one or more publicly-available or commercially subscribed blacklists, probably because of all the porn posted here.

Not to worry. Nobody else could get on FFU either. Dean Takaoka shut down the site. Denny's had nothing to do with it.

incorrect

according to the AT&T telephone company agreement - which COX cable had to sign so did everyone

blacklisting is illegal

infact it was even tried in court "email blacklisting". it was ruled illegal.

therefore it must be a glitch

however your idea that COX (if you have that) is the internet is WRONG. Clinton government dis-assembled the internet and replaced it with a government controlled LAN

COX or who lets you browse through "a proxy" - a proxy they can edit and filter

what you see on the internet is only what your isp agrees to serve you

while that is illegal per say (and so was the way they came upon their monopolies) - it doesn't mean they dont do it

The term is "per se". You'll get to that in like 9th or 10th grade English.

Blacklisting is only proscribed for service providers. Customers of those service providers, such as Denny's, can block any websites they want to. They are under no obligation to provide free and unlimited internet access to anyone. The reason they do provide free wifi is to enhance their customers' experience, and hopefully get repeat business.

If I was a business owner, I would as a matter of course have known porn websites blocked from any wifi access I made available to my customers, because I wouldn't want some creepy perv watching porn on his antique Android phone because he bought a cup of coffee.

Just to be clear. I was NOT using the Denny's wifi. I never use publicly available wifi. I was on the internet via cellular connection. This is what perplexed me. I was reading the news and whatever, then clicked over to FFU to get the eesh updates and see if anything exciting had happened (like maybe Hambeast had shoved Lizzie up her ass like a chicken wing or something) but I got a message that the site was forbidden on their premises.

How can our beloved FFU be blocked from a device via cellular connection? My bowels never fully relax without the most current eesh updates. Brown Onion knows this to be true. Now I'm all backed up and miserable.

Damn you Dean Takaoka!

On your cell phone Wifi hotspot? It can't be. You weren't on your own hotspot - you were on some public Wifi and didn't realize it. (Maybe yours got disconnected, and the computer popped onto the nearest public Wifi and you didn't notice. I've seen that happen.)

I am sure Denny's didn't block you themselves: what this means is that they subscribe to some blacklist service, and FFU is now listed as a Hate Site or something.
