PLEASE fix your fucking DSL service! I pay a kings ransom for your shit.....I expect it to work flawlessly, just like you flawlessly get my payment every month.

For the last 3 days its been on/off/on/off for hours on end.

Feed the fucking Squirrels!!!!!!!!

I dont know about the DSL service, but the phone service is completely fucked up too. Such severe static you can't even hear whoever you are talking to. Verizon is a shitty, over priced company.

Not everyone has access to FiOS yet, even now. When I had DSL, I had the Verizon Helpline on my speed dial and came to recognize the voices of the same three guys in the Phillipines who always answered. As I recall, windy weather was no friend of DSL. I feel your pain, POIA.

Apparently windy weather is also no friend of FIOS wi-Fi. Our FIOS went out for awhile both Saturday and Sunday. Also last weekend before this one. Maybe they take it all down at the same time for upgrades or maintenance somewhere, and don't want to do it overnight, so they pick weekend all days.

You should get Erol's...they just said I'm elligable for a new corded phone with a low monthly rental fee. If the cord breaks from strangling someone for picking up the phone they will send a guy out to replace it for free!

Im curious. I have Verizon DSL and it's fast as lightning and $38/month (when it works)

What's better and cheaper?

Hey man, my 56k dial up modem seemed lightning fast on my Erols connection after I upgraded from the 14k modem. It's all about your perspective.

So what's faster than instantaneous? Page loading is fast. Video is flawless. The only problem I have with Verizon DSL is it goes on the blink occasionally, but not often enough to make me switch at this point. And it is cheap.

I see no one has suggested any alternatives for home bound internet.
