I need a place to skateboard with flat ground

I'm looking for some flat ground around 10 minutes near OakHill/Herndon area, preferrably a skate park or a parking lot, that would be cool. First time skatebarder, please be kind :) I hope to be able to just learn how to cruise

I assume you are a kid?

Skater kids are about as nice as they come as long as you don't dis them. Find a kid at school and ask where to go.

is it fun to skateboard in an office building, multi-level, above ground garage? If so, try going on a Saturday or Sunday before noon or Friday evening after 8p.

OP here, I'm 13, don't have much flexibility in terms of transportation, somewhere near Oak Hill area, preferablly a parking lot or a basketball court? Any help. Not worried about skating in tennis courts or private areas ; just need somewere. Thanks alot, go gentle please. :)

Ten minutes walking or ten minutes driving? Ten minutes' walk is about a half mile, which will barely get you out of some neighborhoods in that neck of the woods.

I'd suggest a school parking lot on weekends.

Also, remember to wear your helmet. Gloves and pads, you can do without as long as you don't mind a few scrapes and scabs, but if you crack your skull open that could be game over for real.

Perform a geospatial analysis of vacant office space in the area and then look for parking lots in that area.

Why not skate on the bike trail along the FFX Cnty Pkwy? Not necessarily "flat", but it would work for what you are looking for.
