Extend he Purple Line through Tysons to Vienna?

Appears to be the next logical segment.

The Purple Line is a project of the Maryland Transit Administration.

An outer ring around Metro would make great sense, save a lot of time having to go all the way to the center of the system to then travel back out toward the outer edge of another leg.

The problems are:

Crossing the Potomac
Not in my backyard
Above ground vs underground
No money for current system much less expansion
Do you want easier/faster access for New Carrollton, Branch Ave, Largo to the rest of the area

The next extension should be taking the Orange line further west. Yet we know we won't see that in our lifetimes.

Orange line to Front Royal in our lifetime.

If for no other reason, there's a little restaurant out there that I like.

And easy access to SNP.

It doesn't fit Fairfax County's development plans and it is doubtful that Prince William will advance the funds necessary to build the line. Plus there's the problem that the Rosslyn Potomac tunnels didn't have enough capacity to handle the increase due to the silver line, and you are going to dump more traffic on them.

What we need is an Auto-train for people to get on at the proposed Orange Line station at Centreville or at the planned Silver Line station at Route 606. It would deliver them to downtown DC, or Rosslyn, or the Pentagon.

Depends on how old you are, I guess. But you could be five years old and die before it happens. After Phase-2 of the Silver Line, the next step will be building a new Orange Line tunnel out of Rosslyn and across downtown.

West Arlington, Shirlington, Falls Church (fairfax), and the Annandale could use a line.

A big gap between the blue and orange line.

Yeah, bring more niggers into Tysons. Like there isn't enough theft already.

They need to connect the ends of the orange, silver, and blue lines. Forget about a river crossing to Maryland.
