Who Shovels Sidewalk by Fire Station

The Mt. Vernon fire department does a great job shoveling their drive way, but does a shit job shoveling their sidewalks. That goes for the Government Center over there as well.

If the police are writing tickets to property owners who don't shovel snow, mt vernon gov center and fire department is a good place to start.

The Firemen shovel the walks around the stations. If it hasn't been done it is because they are too busy picking your dumb-ass yuppies up off the street from the endless retarded shit you do on a daily basis X 10 after it snows. Your welcome!

Most firefighters are union. If it's not in the contract, they are trained not to do it, no matter how trivial.

So, when no one shovels the side walks around a county building, do the police write a ticket for the owner of the building? They do for other businesses.

Who clears snow at county facilities?

The Department of Public Works and Environmental Services is responsible for snow removal at most general county facilities and county-maintained park-and-ride and commuter rail station lots. Clearing is performed on a priority basis, with government centers, police and fire facilities having highest priority. For information, email the Maintenance & Stormwater Management Division or call 703-877-2800, TTY 711. Snow clearance for facilities under the jurisdiction of the county's Department of Housing and Community Development, the Fairfax County Park Authority and Fairfax County Public Schools is the responsibility of those agencies.

Union Boss, you must be confusing us for a state where unions actually have any power. If you have such a poor impression of union public safety workers, maybe you could move to farm country and wait for volunteer, non-Union, local yokel to respond when you have an emergency. You can review the finer points of union busting while enjoying your 30 minute response time because there is no Union there to ensure that your community has adaquate resources to care for your needs.

Fairfax County does not require sidewalks to be shoveled, so what the F are you talking about?
