Law enforcement across the region are warning residents to stay off the roads after snow and ice have left slick, dangerous surfaces.

Virginia State troopers had responded to 172 crashes by 8 p.m.

The majority of the crashes have involved minor car damage.

A state trooper was working a crash on I-495 when he was struck by another vehicle. Injuries are minor, but he is still being evaluated for treatment.

People in this area can't drive for shit as it is but in inclement weather they literally have Jesus take the wheel.

I avoided three collisions by letting off the brake an steering thru two intersections, and I ran one stop sign to avoid a ditch. Ice is on the road and under the light snow.

You cannot plow when there is only 1 inch of snow. The problem is that it has been so cold the snow is freezing on the road and making it really slick.

The roads are very slick right now. They'll be salting all night and it will be melted in the morning.

Drove around a van turned off and driver locked and walked away.
Left in the left lane on old Keene mill road in front of the Catholic Church between Hanover and rolling.

Metro bus st at top of hill at Hanover and would not go down hill.

I drove back roads from Kingstowne to avoid parkway.
Turned onto oriole to backstreets. Came out at Kmart shopping center, went straight as old Keene mill was backed up. Went behind hard times cafe to commerce.
Tuned into library parking lot, drover over curb to Hanover. Took back roads by first baptist to old Keene mill by Catholic Church.
Turned onto Harwood 1/2 Mile into Cardinal forest.

Took Greeley into my neighborhood.

Kingstowne to west Springfield in 25 minutes.

Suck it snow drivers.

And I avoided four collisions by not driving so fast, and coasting to a stop.

Took me an hour to get from Springfield metro to Hooes road this evening. Just took it easy, with my Jeep in snow mode, and had no issues. But I had fucktards in minivans behind me that though they could go and stop faster than myself and everyone else... The Parkway was slow, but better than I though as I expected wrecks at the bottom of those stream valleys.
