It was too funny to pass up, a guy that works at the treasury was stealing sheets of hundred dollar bills and using them in slot machines at Charles Town and Atlantic City.

He had been doing this for months and the only reason he got caught was he didnt wait until the serials numbers were on the bills. The casinos called the cops after seeing them show up in the machines. The feds I guess to cover their ass said they had been watching him for several months. Wonder what they were waiting on for the guy to hit a jackpot so they could take the taxes in winnings.
As a kid I took the usual field trip to the treasury and everyone always asked what stops the workers from stealing the bills, guess now we know, nothing does.

This is pathetic. I watched a show about the Treasury a few months ago and this kind of thing doesn't happen, or isn't supposed to be able to happen. The controls there must be pretty damn lax these days.

I doubt the guy was gambling with the money, it's more likely that he was using the casino to launder the money.
