So this guy on the Silver line about 1:30 pm starts cranking up some kind of sound box on the train. I mean loud. So I call out to turn it down. The next thing I know I am being threatened ... You have one life ... And I will see you in the next life.... That kind of stuff. A bunch of passengers urged me to move to another car ... And they followed me. I used the call button to report it, but conductor just made a general announcement about courtesy and how we all share the train.

I got off and waited for the next train. A metro employee also got off. He was in with the driver and said he knew to whom I was referring. Turns out he had been in the car with them and he also felt uncomfortable enough to switch cars. Well, why did he not call some metro police to help the rest of the passengers in that car?

I took a video of the guy on my IPad. Not very good and does not include the rant and threats. I snuck it when he was looking down.

How much are we supposed to take? I am a middle aged woman, 120 lbs, no threat to anyone. I have been riding for over 20 years and am looking at other options now. Not worth the risk.

I was on the silver line today as well.

My gripe was although the conductor announced the reason we sat at Wiehle-Reston for 30 minutes before we moved was a "bent rail" somewhere around farragut west (forgot the exact station but it was at the OTHER END of the line) WE had to wait to prevent backups along the line.

Missed my connecting bus to get home and had to wait an hour on the next one, watching the bus pull away as I exited the metro station. Great. At least I didn't get charged rush hour fare or another $1.75 for the bus, but fuck this I'm driving from now on. I get free parking at the office and was trying to keep the miles down on my car but now I don't give a fuck anymore, gassing up and going!

So aside from driving in to DC every day and paying a parking garage, what other options are there? If I take the bus down Braddock Road,I still need to switch at the Pentagon to bus or metro rail. If I take VRE, I need to take rail from Union Station. Is there any other commuter bus service from George Mason area into DC?

This is DC's dirty little secret that no one is supposed to talk about. The fact is DC public schools in the ghetto are out of control. This in spite of the fact that the DC school system spends more $ per pupil than any other school system in the country.

These are the same animals riding the subway every day. It's been at least 3 years since I set foot in a subway car and that last trip was epic. There was at least a half dozen black kids eating all sorts of stuff and just throwing the wrappers and bags on the floor. Then the fun began. Loud music, loud talking and yelling. Then a fight broke out and it looked like a cage match. People getting thrown into seats. People having their head stomped. 2 or 3 beating on one. It was complete chaos. Metro cops? Nowhere to be found. When we finally got a station, still no cop came on board but i got off anyway because I was sure knives and guns were next.

This is why I am glad I don't ride Metro anymore, either the cars aren't heated in the Winter or no a/c working in the Summer. Had one guy ride the Orange Line, I got it from L'Enfant to Vienna. This guy gets on somewhere and sits across from me, it obvious he's hyped up on something. He then pulls out this little camera film container and pops the lid, tries to scoop his finger in the container and gets white powdered shit all over his shirt, pants and floor. What he does manage to get, he snorts and wipes the inside of his mouth. Then he tries to close the container and pours more out all over the place, his eyes are rolling all over the place. Of course no Metro patrol to do anything about it. He got off at the Vienna stop and managed to walk to the shuttle bus to the left side of the station, seeing stuff like this turns my stomach. If it's not that, it's vagrants sitting the corner seats pissing on the carpet or begging for money. Kids/punks pouring soda/food on the floor, Metro is gross.

Unfortunately no one seat ride. From Pentagon, Metrobus 7Y goes into downtown DC https://www.wmata.com/bus/timetables/VA/7a-y.pdf may be your best option.

Some other downtown destinations covered if can get to Rosslyn station, this may require a short cheap Uber or taxi trip from Pentagon (way quicker than any bus connections between the two points). At Rosslyn, both Metrobus 38B (Orange line with a view) and 5A (only to L'EnFant Plaza) run into DC from there.

If that does not work for you, Metro's trip planner https://www.wmata.com/rider_tools/tripplanner/tripplanner_form_solo.cfm? entering your starting and ending points and select the Bus only option. Thanks for the alternatives to metro. It is sad that something that was such a positive thing has turned into this lawless mess, with no protection for riders. The bus routes may take longer, but at least they are generally commuter routes, and the thugs are not present. I suppose anywhere in DC should be considered an at risk area. Be safe everyone.

Years ago (late 90s/early 00s), I was riding the Blue Line out of DC to Springfield around 11pm after a late nite at work. There was a nog bouncing all around the car being loud and bothering folks, getting up in people's faces, seeing who he could intimidate...the usual. Between Van Dorn and Springfield the only ones left on the car was me, the nog, an elderly couple who looked to be foreign tourists, and a pair of bros who looked like they were freshly graduated off some local college's O-Line.

Nog decides he's down to his last chance to get some work in for the day so he starts hassling the elderlies, asking what they've got on them and whatnot. The bros were obviously drunk and there was about 30 feet between the rest of us and the commotion, but they were definitely a couple of good ol' boys and aware of the situation. Bros let the hassling go on for about 30 secs, then both went to the front of the car to intervene. This dumbass 150-lb nog decides to half-push/half-swing at the first one up to him and then it was on. Blood and spit was flying out this nigger's mouth while one bro was repeatedly giving him the 1-2 against the door without a single miss, while the other was simply stomping the shit out of his knees and shins once he was on the ground. He finally covered up, they quit, train stopped, everyone got off and not a word was said amongst anyone as we all left. It was by far the worst beatdown I ever witnessed personally, but he deserved it and everyone knew it. I can only hope the event got seared into his brain and he told all his friends, but I highly doubt it.

Are a couple more of these events made public going to be what it takes for niggers to mind their manners on the metro in VA at least?

If you have a carry permit in Virginia, you can carry concealed on any part of the Metro in VIRGINIA. WAMATA jurisdiction is based on the state on which the track and station reside. Just follow the local law, but be mindful if getting off at certain stations like the Pentagon where Federal law will be at issue as well.
