"The Potomac Flight involves 17 World War II aircraft flying from Culpeper Regional Airport, along the Potomac River and over the Pentagon and Arlington National Cemetery. The flight, in its second year, is expected to be over the Pentagon around 12:30 p.m. But organizers say to be on the lookout for the aircraft between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m"

So, how many flights in and out of DCA have to be diverted or delayed due to this stunt? Who's paying for it?

@ Ralph

No delays, everyone flies flight plans to fly here so no delays, the flights are coordinated.

The groups operation the vintage planes pay for it, by dontations or just self funded.

Don't hate on everything, some things like this are done to just make people feel good and see something neat.

Fuck you Ralph.

There is a free airshow out at the Culpeper Airport this Saturday the 10th of October. Private funds, and donations are paying for the "Stunt". Now go back into your hole.

Went down to the Air Force Memorial to see this. Glad the urchin was home from school and it didn't cloud up until after the flyover was over.

Thanks for the heads up.

Tough to beat the last Vintage flyover over the Summer. That shit was crazy. It looked like DC was under attack. The P-51 squadron coming low down the Potomac over the bridges was stunning.

May was done for the End of WW2 celebrations. That was funded in part by Uncle Same. This is a privately funded flight in support of disabled Veterans.

They were some distance away but we were able to see them and hear the great sound of their engines. Thanks for posting.
