Love the loop hole, and I get pulled over texting I'll just tell the cops I was dailing the phone. since there is no hand free law in VA when it concerns phones, only texting and emailing.

I've been pulled over 4 times for this. The first time I went into court and said I was checking my calendar...and the judge dismissed the case. The other 3 times, I told the police officer that I was checking my calendar and he let me go with no ticket.

Pretty sure you missed the point. If it isn't illegal to text and drive, then why did you get pulled over 4 separate times?
I would wager a guess that you're one of those geniuses on the road who, while looking down at your phone, touch the lines and swerve back and forth because you can't manage to stay in your own lane while obsessing over your last facebook post that no one liked. Reckless driving is actually against the law, and that definition is broad enough to cover your reckless habits.
It isn't against the law to close your eyes while driving either, but it's just plain stupid. Act like an adult and have patience. A stop light affords you plenty of opportunity to stroke your ego on social media and not endanger me and my family.
We all have to share the highways and owe it to ourselves and each other to do it safely. So practice a little self control and responsibility and keep your eyes on the fucking road. Be an adult and think of someone other than yourself.

It IS illegal to text and drive. but its not illegal to do other things with your phone. so you get a ticket for texting, you just claim you were dialing your phone.
If VA puts a "hand free" law on the books, then the loop hole closes

Noted and thanks for the correction, but my greater point is that, regardless of legality or loop holes, just be an adult and think about what you are doing, which is operating a 2 ton piece of machinery at high speeds with your head down.
But since we can't rely on each other to be responsible adults and think outside of our own self-interests, then yes, let's work to get 'hands free' in VA so that law enforcement can spank our little bottoms and make us behave.
