Believe it or not it was a public event where kids could look at a paddy wagon and a police car and they were handing out free trinkets to any kids that stopped in. As you may guess it was not a big hit since it was raining most of the day and Home Depot is not a huge kid hangout. The cops they standing out there getting soaked seemed in good spirits amazingly but it was freaky because all three of them were at least 60 or older. Great use of our tax money.

^ That's called 'community outreach', and I think it's great for kids to get to know the police force. I'm sure many users here are quite familiar with law enforcement.

I agree. I like most of the cops I have encountered in Fairfax. I just think that it would have been a better use of money to do the community outreach at a better location and have the flexibility to call it off if there is a hurricane headed this way and do it next week.
