I don't mean to be cruel, but please don't be so stupid.
A big part of the $100,000,000 hole is a step and COLA for the employees. That's about $50,000,000 of the hole. Garza is going to go on and on and say, "I guess we'll have to cancel band" and "I guess we'll have to cancel art" and "I guess kids will only get a crumb for lunch" and all the rest of it, and then she'll screw over the teachers like always.
As for the other $50,000,000, FCPS has been spending money like a drunken sailor. When you stop giving regular steps and COLAs, you have boatloads of money to spend on other stuff. FCPS lies through its teeth about "school-based" positions. There are so many people who work at Fairfax Ridge or Gatehouse or at other non-school sites and who go into a school maybe once every two months to talk to a principal or look at some data. Doing so, according to FCPS, makes them "school-based."
The whole $100,000,000 shortage is a crock of poop.
