What is being done with/about FCPS suggestions?

Lots of good suggestions on the FCPS website. Many, however, they won't like, such as cutting back administrators.

What is being done about the "hundred million dollar hole?" Certainly it would be political suicide for the Supervisors to try and raise real estate taxes or even put the meals tax up for a vote.

So what will happen at FCPS? Will it just crash, will Garza keep wasting money or will reason finally prevail?

Every suggestion made to the FCPS website is collected and carefully printed out onto high quality two-ply paper (quilted for softness), which the members of the FCPS administration then uses to wipe their overpaid asses with.

Nothing. Bureaucracies often conduct surveys and community engagements to make it look like they care what their stakeholders think. In the end they will just choose the course of action that best furthers the interests of the leadership.

The answer will be a massive redistricting under the guise of efficiency. It will allow Garza to blow up the majority white schools so that everyone goes to a school that is equally brown. The entire deficit is a contrived crisis to facilitate this.

I don't mean to be cruel, but please don't be so stupid.

A big part of the $100,000,000 hole is a step and COLA for the employees. That's about $50,000,000 of the hole. Garza is going to go on and on and say, "I guess we'll have to cancel band" and "I guess we'll have to cancel art" and "I guess kids will only get a crumb for lunch" and all the rest of it, and then she'll screw over the teachers like always.

As for the other $50,000,000, FCPS has been spending money like a drunken sailor. When you stop giving regular steps and COLAs, you have boatloads of money to spend on other stuff. FCPS lies through its teeth about "school-based" positions. There are so many people who work at Fairfax Ridge or Gatehouse or at other non-school sites and who go into a school maybe once every two months to talk to a principal or look at some data. Doing so, according to FCPS, makes them "school-based."

The whole $100,000,000 shortage is a crock of poop.
