They're looking for some sucker to churn out resumes which they will sell as "professionally written resumes" for $50 or $100 a throw, but they don't want to actually pay the sucker any money.

If they can get the sucker to crank out 8-10 "professionally written resumes" a week, they're effectively charging $1600 a month in rent at the low end, or maybe as much as $4000 per month.

On top of that, said sucker still has to maintain a job somewhere else to actually make money for silly things like food and transportation.

This is a job for someone who's desperate, not someone who's actually a professional writer.

Making you live there is probably not quite completely right. What if you had a home in Annandale, you could commute to this place and write resumes or whatever for them.

I would guess they already own a condo, so letting you live there gets around having to pay you.

The joke could be on them-they get someone and it does not work out, sure they can fire you, but they'd probably have to do an unlawful detainer to get you out. Or, they might have to pay you to leave.

This is right up there with all the ads where they want you to work for free and they will give you college credit, or so they say.
