Early '80s - Grevey's former name

Back in the early 1980s, Grevey's Bar/Restaurant in Merrifield at Route 50 & Gallows used to be called something else. It was still a bar, but with some kind of goofy name, like Friends Forever. Does anyone remember what it was called?

They had some copyright issues with that name and changed to Just Friends. Rumored to have been a Wagon Wheel restaurant before that, but I don't go back as far as that.

That is interesting..."copyright issues", that is.

So, pre internet, somebody from the WC Fields estate (or somebody who had a similar interest, I suppose) was driving around Merrifield, or otherwise became aware of "WC and Friends" and decided it infringed?

Is that how it works?

Didn't WC Fields die in the 40's?

WC Fields died Christmas Day, 1946.
