RG3 also had 2 fumbles

RG III is the future of this franchise?

Trade his sorry ass, and get some offensive linemen.

The linemen were just fine for Cousins and McCoy.

The Lions pass rush was deep in the backfield against Griffin who the coaches seemed determined to mold into a pocket passer. The other QBs played against backups and had plays designed to get away from the pass rush.

So you're saying the "best quarterback in the NFL" with the first string offensive line can't get away from a first string pass rush? Or maybe throw short quick passes to his outlet since the pass defense was deep?

Yes, I am being an armchair coach. But what I'm saying does seem logical.

Conspiracy theory: Could the management have been setting RG3 up for failure/injury?

From watching the game, it looks like he's being told to stay in the pocket which has consistently breaking down last night. It's not logical under those conditions to use plays that don't minimize the poor pass protection.

I think the team has been told to do whatever they can, without looking obvious, to let RG ME get smothered and pummeled.
