Big boxes of electronics at road intersections

I heard about this through rumor mill, so checked as far as I can.

Take a look at ANY intersection around Fairfax County. You will see a metal storage container about seven feet tall. The rumor is that it is full of electronics the county doesn't want people to know about.

My fiirst thought is that it is controllers for red lights or maybe traffic cameras. But lets face it. Red lights can be controlled by a $100 SOC computer.

Anyone know what's in the box?

The hardware inside the box is used to collect the information needed by those that collect the information about those that the information is needed.

I made another thread about this. There's a weird box with a window on it right when you cross into DC.

Those are the computer systems and timers for the traffic lights at the intersection. You'll see them opened up periodically when police are controlling the lights if there's an outage or issue.

Seven feet tall, you say? That's where the power elite stash incarcerated political prisoners, to give them time to consider the error of their ways.
In Lubyanka, home to the KGB, in the basement there were cells that were too small in every direction for an adult human to stand, sit or lie comfortably. A few weeks of that and your screws were quite loose.

Those boxes contain Cary's FFXU servers.

I always thought that was where they kept an extra supply of aluminum foil, just in case your hat got a hole in it and you could patch it up.
