where can i take my old cooking oil

I moved here a couple weeks ago. I am wondering where I should take my old cooking oil from my deep fryer? Where do you take yours?

Pour the oil into a empty 1 gallon milk jug, and put the lid on the jug. Carefully place the jug filled with the oil into your trash can and throw it away.

Fairfax County burns all trash - So it will fuel the trash pyre.

We usually wait til it's cold out then throw it in Burke Lake. Let nature take it's course. Supposedly there's a "no dumping" rule but basically they'd have to catch you right then and there while you're doing it.

I fill a kiddy pool with it and invite all my hot friends over. We wrestle in it. It makes our skin baby smooth and it gets in ALL the cracks. Great to do before a special holiday like Valentine's Day when you plan on doing anal.

Back when Lorton prison was open they took old grease. Inmates have all kinds of uses for that stuff

Season your cast Iron with it.

Add Bird Seed and make suet?

Pour it on a Campfire.

Pour it into the Potomic River. Same place the city dumps all of the sewage and waste.

Look where the closest Fairfax County Refuse Center is to you, we take ours to the center on Old Ox Road. They have 2 giant drums towards the back, one is for used motor oils and the other is used cooking oils. They also take grease: bacon, chicken, etc from cooking too, we refrigerate it and take it when we recycle cardboard, plastic and aluminum/steel cans.

Gas stations like it if you put it in a milk jug and leave it at the pump islands.

And flush it down the toilet. I'm not flushing it down my own toilet, 'cause that stuff can really fuck up plumbing.

Bring the oil to Kilton. It keeps his asshole from getting sore during his long work hours.

Take it to KFC! They regularly recycle and reuse used cooking oil. Have to to remain ISO compliant. Recycled under DOH guidelines.

Just pack it all into a steel drum and drive it to ANY KFC. You don't even have to print out the OSHA form anymore, the mgr can do this for you. Roll up, tell the manager on duty that you have oil; he'll likely tell you to drive it around back. Then, unload usually near the dumpster and drive away. Done.

Done this for years and it couldn't be easier.

Oh, also, some commercial kitchens will do this for you, too. They get a tax write off. Try lamb Center.
