Going to the movies at Springfield Town Center costs $13.50 per ticket. Who pays $13.50 to see a movie?
Posted by: $13.50 per ticket ()

I do not have a vagina, but if I did I would feel obligated to spread if a guy (or girl) spent $13.50 for a ticket just so I could see a movie.

I cant even think of a girl I know who is worth spending that much money to take to the movies with me. Fuck that shit!

Who on earth is paying those ridiculous ticket prices?

Keep on paying those prices.
They will keep raising the prices until you finally put your foot down and and stop going.

$14 is $28 for 2 people not including food, drinks or popcorn. Its not worth it.

Of course it's not worth it when you consider the crap that is flowing out of Hollyweird recently. Everything is remakes and sequels. They have even gotten so lazy they are using the same lines and catch phrases from one movie to the next.

Pathetic.

I am shocked that people still even bother. There are much more interesting ways to spend that kind of money.

It's a rare occassion, once a year or so to the theatre for me. But when I do, I will choose springfield b/c you don't have to pay extra for over sized, comfortable leather, reclining seats, with trays for refreshments, etc.

Among theatres in this area, it's the best deal around.

This is why I enjoy Netflix on my 70" curved screen Samsung with 7 channel theater sound system. Everyone says Netflix sucks because it doesnt have many current films. GOOD- because most current films are garbage. I have found some great movies on Netflix just using the search function but I know most millenials are too lazy to do that in their world of "instant gratification".

I went there to watch Mad Max Fury Road a few weeks ago. Seats are nice and recline. Theater was moderately crowded for the 10:15pm show. Then a nog couple come in with a stroller! WTF! Sure enough about 15 minutes in the kid starts screaming! They refuse to quiet the kid! Mother gives kid a bottle and it shuts up for about 15 minutes, then starts again! Then the smell hit. Kid obviously needed a diaper change! They just let it lay there and scream! Finally, I had enough and went out and complained! Manager said they can't stop people from entering theare with stroller, blah, blah, blah. He refused to disturb them or ask them to leave! He reluctantly gave me a refund for the movie but not the concessions, and acted like it was my fault! Who the hell brings a baby to any movie, much less an R rated one at 10:15pm and what type of theater lets someone come into a movie with a stroller. If you can't leave your kid at home with a family member, friend or sitter, don't got out!

First off, most people here are true whiners. They complain about movies being high priced, but it's well worth it. When you go to a theatre, you can instantly get drinks and food so you don't have to make a run to the store, wasting more time. Movie theaters also have other people in it, the seats are better, the screen is big, and it's really great, especially if you live in a crappy apartment. And seriously, who could be a problem when you've got a great movie? Bring earcorn or something like that.

Movies these days are also amazing. They are in higher quality, 3D, and remakes and sequels give you more fun with your favorite stories and characters. Plus, not all of them are sequels/remakes...

Screw Netflix, home theatres, and huge TVs. Movie theatres FTW!

Well for one thing, there are no screaming smelly babyies at my home theater. They are not allowed. Also, I dont have to pay $8 for a large popcorn with yellow slime ooze poured on it. Just throw a bag of Orville Redenbocker in the zapper and good to go. Plus, fuck a bunch of overpriced sodas, I have a kegorater.

And you must be about 15 if you think today's movies are amazing. Only a stupid kid would want to see Furious 7.

I don't think you have good grammar, on one account. Lots of sequels (including the epic Furious 7) have great reviews, period.

You are aware of who writes the reviews aren't you?

I like to go to the local cinemarks where they have early bird specials for the first showings of all movies in the theater. Centreville you can get in as cheaply as $5.65. $5.90 in Fairfax Corner. Extra for 3D.

No female is worth paying that much to take to the movies. Even if she spreads afterwards. Still not worth it.
