Go Redskins!

The pre-season is only a few weeks away! With the new receivers and more of a pass-oriented offense, the running game should open up. If Brunell gets injured or is unable to perform, Jason Campbell may get his shot. Based on what they did last year, here's what I see for the season:

9/11 vs. Vikings - Vikings are a train wreck. (W)
9/17 @ Cowboys - T.O. could be trouble. (L)
9/24 @ Texans - Easy (W)
10/1 vs. Jaguars - Almost as much of a train wreck as the Vikings (W)
10/8 @ Giants - Tiki had a career season last year. Eli still rough (W)
10/15 vs. Titans - Who the hell knows. I would have to go (W)
10/22 @ Colts - No brainer (L)
11/5 vs. Cowboys - Home field makes the difference (W)
11/12 @ Eagles - 50/50, but I'll go with (W)
11/19 @ Buccaneers - Another tough call. If Simms stays hot (L)
11/26 vs. Panthers - They are nothing without their running game (W)
12/3 vs. Falcons - Vick proves to be this generation's Randall Cunningham (W)
12/10 vs. Eagles - 50/50 for the Eagles (L)
12/17 @ Saints - Yeah. Right (W)
12/24 @ Rams - Broken, old and leaderless (W)
12/30 vs. Giants - Gotta give at least one to the kid (W)

12-4 means playoffs.

the saints could surprise them, but only if reggie bush pulls his head from between his ass and makes a real effort to make him and deuce a real threat. Without those guys to draw coverage in a well-coordinated offensive attack, no saints receiver will see the ball. Ever. And that means limited scoring.

But he'll probably hold out, ruining his training camp and rookie year. The it will be catch-up mode the rest of the season.

Can Drew Breeze throw after his injury? Can the Saints O-line block or provide protection? I think they will suck worse than normal for at least a year or two.

My gut is Reggie Bush is going to be a huge bust.

The o-line protection would be less of a factor with a strong backfield attack coming from two sources. Don't get me wrong, i hope the Saints lose, but I can't call it from where we are standing here.

Brees was always a pretender, I grant you. He's only had one or two good seasons, right? A brand new coach will probably coddle his injury too much and make his passing game ineffective, holding back on plays and such.

I don't knpw shit about the skins dline, I guess if they are the shit then none of this matters.

When Arrington wasn't playing last season, the Skins would sit back in coverage and not really pressure the QB too much. The problem is they didn't have much depth at CB and SS last year, so when Taylor or Springs was out, they had big-time problems stopping the pass. Hopefully this year they have fixed that. If Taylor is healthy, they can do more zone coverage and get more guys in the QBs face. That will be especially important against young guys like Simms and Manning who might get rattled into turning it over.

Can't wait to see Brunell throwing the ball out of bounds to avoid the loss, even though a receiver open.

I'm just gitty with anticipation.
Cue the Carly Simon song.

Beats throwing 4 or 5 interceptions or taking the sack. Next time you lead a team into the play-offs, you tell me what Brunell should do differently. In the meantime, keep looking up porn online and writing smack about things you know little about.

I can also NOT throw interceptions, and I don't even have to step onto the field.

I can NOT throw interceptions all day even while having sex with your fat sister (which is a very tasking activity, but I do it b/c I get a nice cardio workout punching her flabby tits like a speed-bag).

Most of Brunell's Throwaways happen when he has plenty of time in the pocket, so it's not like he's truly avoiding the sack. He's mostly just avoiding the interceptions; the avoiding-the-sack part is a side effect.

Brunell is like a batter who doesn't swing for any pitches, instead hopes the pitcher walks him.
I'd rather have a guy who strikes out swinging because at least he has a chance to hit a home-run.

Guys like Brett Favre (from a few years ago--not the current should-be-retired-Favre), Ben Rothlesburger(sp.), and Brady.

# of Super Bowl rings those guys have while throwing TDs, despite throwing INT's: 4.

# of Super Bowl rings Brunell has: _____.

We will not go to the Super Bowl as long as Brunell is our QB.
We have one of the top 5 group of receivers in the league, but I'll bet you 12 punches in the face that Brunell will not be anywhere near the top 10 in QB rating. If Brunell would just throw Moss the ball like Delhomme does with S. Smith, we might have had a chance last season, but Brunell likes to throw the ball at the waterboys on the sideline instead.

In 2003 and 2004, Tom Brady's completion percentage was 60%. Last year, Brunell's was 57%. Favre had 59% in 1997 - a SuperBowl year. Don't really know what you are talking about.

16-0...? We can always hope.

This could be the year. I say that every year, but I think this could be the year we go all the way.

16-0 is a pipe dream. But 10-6, 11-5, 12-4 seem reasonable to me.

T.O. is one of the great receivers out there. If he can keep his mouth shut for a year, like he did in Philly his first year, he might help the Cowboys into the playoffs. Of course Bledsoe today isn't what McNabb was two years ago. But if Parcells can protect Bledsoe long enough for T.O to get open, the Cowboys could be very dangerous this year.

I can't recall if it was the last two minutes, but it was pretty close to the end. That 14-yard scamper by Brunell and the daggers through the heart to Moss. Awesome!

I see five top receivers going out and Portis slicing the defense in half. Kick ass!

Predictions are useless. Anything goes. Anything can happen. Just wait for the actual games.

LOL, indeed. Classic DC-area irrational exuberance. Wait for the predictions for next season. :-)
