A petition is being circulated to ban the movie 'American Sniper' from GMU. But that's not all:
Ahmad and Mojarrad revealed they want to stop all showings of movies at GMU that could create backlash against the Muslim community in the future: “We just don’t want movies like this at Mason in the future.”

This is a Hollywood movie depicting war, not about hunting Muslims or Middle Eastern nationals. Many of the victims may just have been in the cross hairs, but being in the wrong place and in the wrong situation can cost you your life in a war zone, during a natural disaster or even on the highway. This is clearly different than the many "snipers" in war zones that shot anyone that is in the view just because, like sport or for psychological warfare reasons. Look what happened in the Balkin situaiton.
If your job is to be a sniper and save your fellow soldiers, you do what you have to do.
What the hell are these Liberal college faculty members doing here, this is a clear violation of free speech, this is censorship in its highest form.
University Of Maryland has cancelled the showing of this movie already.
What a bunch of limp dicks, show the film, if people do not want to go see it, so be it. They have the right not to see the film. But for these colleges to cancel showings because someone does not agree with the content or are just generally unhappy, get over it. Many of these complaining about the movie are probably not US Nationals anyway, they are probably here on student Visas and taking classes for less that what I would have to pay for my kids to attend these institutions.

I dont believe in banning the movie. Its just sad/funny how a population can be manipulated.In world war two snipers were regarded by American forces as cowards who hid out in relative safety and were frequently shot when captured. Just like those insipid Muslims at Georgetown University who demanded a room for prayer with no cross (even though Georgetown was founded as a Catholic school).
I grew up believing America can allow for togetherness in all religions, but apparently I was wrong. The Muslims should no longer be invited. I'm a Protestant Christian, and I'm okay with Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Jainists, rock-worshippers, etc., but not Muslims. They can't play nice.
I mean just a month ago, several hundred African emigres fleeing the despair that is most of Africa get together on a boat, all having hope to make it to Europe. But the Muslims on board founded up the 11 Christians, and threw them off the boat in the middle of the Mediterranean, to their death.
Muslims are so damn bad that, in fact, the most dangerous person to a Muslim is another Muslim. Shias hate Sunnis and vice versa more than they hate Christians and Jews.
And, fellow FU members, any time some Muslim looks at you with a smile and tries to pretend he's peaceful, you should no that behind his eyes, inside his head, he would have no problem with your head being sawed off if you decide not to become a Muslim.
No more Muslims should be allowed to enter the USA. And, we should start deporting every single Muslim born in another country. Revoke their citizenship and deport them now.

This entire American College thing is getting out of control.
First it is the stupid College President at UVA suspending all the Fraternity and Sorority events for ALL Greek organization due to the Rolling Stone article. They should have focused ONLY on the one Fraternity. Punish all for the assumed actions of a few!!!
Then the STUPID black student organization at Berkley to rename a building for the convicted cop killer Assata Shakur.

I heard GMU is considering banning a showing of Shindler's List after a neo-Nazi group complained that it would put Nazis in a negative light and potentially cause a backlash against them and similar groups. The complainants also pointed out that the movie was not accurate because it was in black and white even though life was in color at the time.

GMU is a state sponsored college. The alumni that donate should contact them and withhold donations and the state should review their funding, perhaps the Muslims could chip in and help since they seem to be making decisions for the college.
