Thank you for adding intelligent thinking to this thread, beyond the typical mudslinging. To take you to task on one thing you said:
"I do not want government establishing religions, either right wing (Christian Conservatives) or left wing (Environmentalism, Progressivism)."
The thing is your mixing religion with political philosophies (consvervative vs. liberal) and movements (environmentalism). Govt. doesn't really establish any of these things, but the *people* in govt. may pass bills/laws/etc... supporting (or refuting) these things.
