Prince William police are looking for a woman who escaped from police custody early this morning.
Officers arrested Theresa Elaine Brown around 1 a.m. on Feb. 13 on several failure to appear and probation violation charges, Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok said in a news release. Brown is the same woman charged in September with biting a toddler at the Goddard School in Woodbridge, where she worked as a caregiver.
While in police custody early Friday, Brown “complained of pain” and was taken to Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, at 2300 Opitz Blvd. in Woodbridge.
While at the hospital, around 4 a.m., Brown “accessed a private hallway from her room and was able to escape from the facility,” Perok said.
Police said no force was used in the escape and Brown is not considered violent.
