I hadn't been to old country in 15 yes, it used to be decent, but I'd go at lunch or dinner when nothing stayed in stock too long

I use to frequent that place back when I was pushing 375 lb. The food looks so good and smells great. It's like making a visit to Willie Wonka.

I learned fast to close your eyes to all the bullshit double dippers, kids putting their hands in the food, and the ubiquitous phlegm cougher. So then you sit down to eat with your STACK and try not to pay attention to the whiffs of B.O. here and there (why do some other cultures refuse to bathe?). And then something less than magical happens. After about 15 minutes of eating, it ALL starts to taste like the same thing. But I keep eating because I've surpassed the meal and need to get me the eat all you can. I do that for about an hour until I'm feeling major bloat and call it quits.

I always feel happy going in and disgusted when I leave.

Think about the tongs.

Half the patrons in the place did not wash their hands after doing the nasty, they pick up the tongs then you pick up the tongs. It's fuggin disgusting!

You can't look too hard at the other patrons at OCB for sure. Just pile your plate up and stuff it down without thinking about it.

but I mean what do you expect? Just think about the who premise of the enterprise: endless food for a low price.

You are not going to get the Creme d'Society at ANY buffet, my friend.

Not unless it's $49.99 a person, something like that.......................................

OCB is nasty as shit, ton of 8 years old slobbering and touching the food with their hands. I would rather eat lead.

Today I was for the first time to an "Old County Buffet".We didn't know anything about that "restaurant", and we just stepped in, cause it was in our way. The food was the most disgusting food I have ever seen in a restaurant. I couldn't eat anything. Not even the rice, not even the broccoli. Everything there was completely disgusting. My friend took a bowl with some beef/vegetables and gravy. And told me to try it too.I was very skeptical, because that thing was smelling bad. I went to take some water and when I returned,I observed the grimase on my friend face. I just started to laugh, because I was right, the food was disgusting :))))
We just let everything in the plate and left. I will never again enter in such a garbage place. Unfortunatelly some people were eating there and were not even able to realize that they are eating garbage. I was so sorry for them...

I never go into the place, but it is entertaining to sit outside in the parking lot and watch those who come and go (5 hours later)from that joint.

Big fat fatty, bigger than a Caddy!

Your all dumb. Its not just ocb but other buffets. At least ocb changes their food frequently. Other buffets have food that stays out all day. Fyi a lot of people especially white and asian dont wash their hands after going to the bathroom or taking kaky breaks so its not just in one buffet restjaurant. Excuse the typos dipshits.

You will if you continue to stop into restaurants you know nothing about simply because they are "on the way" to someplace. What a fraud...

We are all swimming is a sea of germs and bacteria. Exposure to them is how our bodies learn to protect us. Unless someone with an actually dangerous and communicable disease eats there, you are not going to encounter any sort of pathogens at OCB that you won't also run into at Wegman's, Macy's, Home Depot, Starbucks, 7-11, a Metro station, or virtually any other public place. Some people need to stop obsessing.

When you go to one of these public troughs you get what you pay for. As a rule I do not go to this type of restaurant, but sometime as a group(office situation) shit happens. If by chance you get sucked into one of these places(Golden Corral, Great American Steak & Buffet Co., Old Country Buffet, Country Cookin) stay away from the gravy covered heated meat dishes. Try to make a positive move on the salad bar, and ask for fresh greenery if it looks old and wilted.
