So I wanna get the salt crap off my car, but I have hose access at my apartment. I dont wanna pay a detail place 50 bucks or go through automatic BS. It seems nova doesnt have/allow DIY carwashes, So I usually cross the bridge to Africa and goto "Sams"? DIY car wash. Anybody know some better options?

Get an "Express Wash" for just $7 at our Merrifield location. Near McDonalds on Gallows Road just north of Route-50.

Go to the laundry room of your apartment complex and hook your hose up to the hot, left side, of the guy grey box that serves the washing machine and use that. Hot water hand wash for free. Or go to the Citgo at Lee HyWay and Blake Lane they have a car wash there though it may be closed due to the temps outside.

Always cheap gas at that Citgo, especially with bonus weekend discounts.

You must be poor. You need to buy a second vehicle like a POS 4x4 to drive in the bad weather. I have a 2008 Toyota Tacoma that hasn't been washed in 6 years.

There are a few DIY car wash places around. You just obviously don't know where they are.

Think they mean one with wands, not a drive-thru

Speaking of hose access at apartments. Do they shut those down and winterize them in the winter?

What about the place on the western side of Vienna next to the McDonald's (just down 123 from Cox Farms). Never been there but there's always a ton of people standing around.

This place does have a wand, it's right next to the vacuum. What it doesn't have is a shelter surrounding it.

Not sure how far you want to go but there is one on Sudley Road in Manassas -- on the left hand side of the road as you are heading towards the hospital from I-66. It has those sheds that you drive into and it has a wand overhead and a lot of options on the type of wash you want. Might want to wait until its warmed up a bit.

I always try to coordinate going there with a trip to that great used book store that's a bit farther down the road.

Y'all already said the one at the Circle and that one off of Sudley near Manassas Mall.................................

there's one on Rte 1, little crappy gas station between Parkway and Backlick. NOT the station at the Joint Base entrance, but the other one.

The only other one I can think of is in Dumfries, also off of Rte 1 (the southbound side)

That's the one I've always used. There is also another one down inside Manassas City.

BTW, be sure to take a $10 roll of quarters with you to ensure you have enough $$ to finish your car. They don't take CC.

Yeah, was going to say I go by there all the time and I've never seen that.

Don't know how that would even work.

The Hess is gone? When did that happen? Did they clear out the homeless camp back there?
