The one on Kings Hwy in Alexandria Section of Fairfax County (zipcode 22303) is pretty decent, but I don't know about the Merrifield one....

It's the best restaurant in the Mosaic district area. It makes trio grill look like a mcdonalds.

Idiots here are too young and immature to manage much beyond running everything down. Really dumb. Tippy's is a frequent target, but pay no attention to the goobers. Tippy's is what it is -- a moderately priced, typical menu, Tex-Mex eat-in or carry-out place. If it was no good, it wouldn't have been around since the 1950's.

Neither Tippy's nor Trio is in the Mosaic district area.

30+ years ago we would load up on taco dinners at Tippy's in Merrifield, and then we went to the 7-11 across the street for a case of Bud. Then we were off to the drive in movie at Gallows road and RT 237. Those were some great summer nights - Thanks Tippy's

They also sponsored a little baseball team in the Fairfax Little League in the early 70s
