There are other gay bars.

Try the Sunday brunch at Freddies.

I used to go there a lot in the early 2000's when soccer wasn' t on TV so much as it is now. Food was never great but it was always fun to watch games there with people from all over the world.
Probably will become luxury condos or some shit now.

This should quell the fantasy that soccer will ever be popular in the US. If the illegals ever get deported there would be only the homos left to watch this school yard game.

Some Korean BBQ place is moving in.

Summers had a good thing going and they blew it, they're blaming the landlord for raising the rent but they were sitting on a prime spot with upscale apartment and office buildings all around it, so they should have upgraded their menu and decor. They had next to zero lunch business on a street full of food trucks, so the market was there they just sat on their asses and watched the lunch crowd walk by, doing nothing to lure them in.

I remember the World Cup from 2002 when they were competing with Star Wars for most nerds per square foot. Back then the soccer business was fine because they were the only ones showing the games but when the competition came in they must have thought that nostalgia would be good enough to keep people driving in from all over the area.

Some of us would rather a sport rather than 2+ hours of commercials.

If more than 10 people watched a boring sport like soccer or figure skating they could sell commercials. Keep trying, faggot.

Yeah, I actually watched soccer once. I couldnt figure out why all the players wore horse jockey uniforms ran around all the time and didn't use their arms. And they wonder why it "didnt take" in America. BORING!

Requires zero upper body strength and zero hand eye communication skills. Two things thst have advanced the human race. Guys cant even bench press 100 pounds.

Try: Football, Hockey, Rugby, Basketball, Baseball, or even swimming. You can have it! Only reason it is popular in some places is NBA, NFL, and MLB not there yet. But look out, they are coming to take your market!

I brought up this subject to a friend during last year's World Cup. Soccer will never be welcomed by US TV networks because there is no time to run commercials except at halftime. They dont broadcast sports events to entertain people, they broadcast them to make money.

Wrong. Its both. Soccer is just boring. Ball is out of bounds for most if the game and they don't even stop the clock for that time. Most is "dead air."

Truth!

All media exists to sell advertising. Informing or entertaining is a by-product.
