Low Profile Police Lights

Has anyone noticed that some police cars either are missing thier light bars on the tops of them, or maybe they are lower profile lights? I've seen about 10 wagons with this sort of setup. Shed some light...?

Those are the new TOMAR "The Blade" lightbars as I've seen a few cruisers with them.

It's hard to tell if its a cop since the lightbar is clear and is less then 2". Very bright at night though.

Just saw those yesterday on a car on West OX road. I thought what the hell? Did somebody forget to put the rest of the light bar on? Looks like the lights are missing on top the car but the place to put them is there.

I saw them on a car yesterday, too.

They were flashing blue and red and the car kept following me.

I'd speed up, he'd speed up. I'd slow down, he'd slow down. Turn left, turn right, same thing. I finally gunned it and lost him. Hopefully he didn't read my tag number or anything like that.

Think I should report this to the police?

If you obey the traffic laws then you don't have to worry about what police cars look like...

When I'm in Fairfax, I don't pull over for red and blue lights. All the police vehicles that have jurisdiction in Fairfax use only blue, so whoever it is using red and blue is either a police imposter or out of their jurisdiction.

US Park Police has jurisdiction everywhere and they have red/blue. So feel free to keep using that mentality and you'll find yourself booked with felony elude.

They have original jurisdiction only on federal park land. Of course many states have them patrol state parks as well.

U.S. Park Police in the DC metro area are the FEDS you stupid fuck (other large cities have similar arrangements) Try alluding the park police dumbass and see what happens. They have vast resources of the Federal government at thier disosal and the full cooperation of local and state police...

The moral of the story is: Don't wake up 8 year old threads.

Yup. It's true. US Park Police have federal jurisdiction. Back in 1974, I was blasting down GW Parkway in a stolen Porsche doing 119 mph (it was 2am). A US Park Police car pulled out near 123. I took the Parkway to the end and exited onto 495 towards MD figuring they weren't going to chase me across state lines once I left the Parkway. I...could not...have been...more wrong.

No vehicle moves faster than radio waves. He called ahead to MD State Troopers and they were waiting for me. Once I pulled over they waited on the U.S. Park Police to show up. He cracked me across the back of the knees with his nightstick and as I was going down grabbed the hair on the back of my head and shattered 4 of my teeth on the guardrail screaming, "You don't NEVER run from the federal government!"

I did a 11 year stretch but whenever I get out on the Parkway late at night, it still takes every bit of self control to not drop the hammer and see if I can best my time...
