the basic reason why is a cover up of some goofs

they've used Gov funds so many times to restore the paintings they no longer know which one is real!

the display or the other they no longer know which is which

in another similar incident, the museum allowed the newly restored Galileo to be displayed at this art class for grading. they now no longer know who's is who's or which is which!

China has claimed their AI oil paint copy process is more valuable than "old student versions and the original" which they claim is UV safe - being newer. Several EU politicians cheerleaing are writing Legislation to make this chinese assertation law.
