New Fairfax County Public School Snow Day Policy

Thanks to technology there are no more snow closure days factored into the FCPS 2014-2015 calendar.

All you spoiled little shits with your $1000 iPhones and Macbook Pro's who Facebook, FaceTime, SnapChat, Twitter, and generally have your faces glued to your phones and laptops all day will NEVER EVER EVER get another snow day off.

It's over! We got you now!!

You snotty little fuckers need to catch up with the times. You now get to do what the adults have been doing for years - TeleCommute.

Therefore, on snow days when the buses can't run and the roads aren't safe for inexperienced shitty teen drivers:

- All classes will be taught on-line and start 1 hour early since you don't have to pop-zits, apply Accutane, take your ADHD meds, style your hair, and pick out just the right outfit to impress your metro-sexual friends before taking the long bus ride to school.

- All homework assignments and group projects are due on line and 1 hour early.

- All tests and quizzes proceed on-time as planned - including pop quizzes.

- All students will be required to turn on their new FPS provided GPS app to ensure that they stay safely at home doing school work during the school day. Any kid whose GPS app indicates they left their home during a snow day will be marked for an unexcused absence and will be required to make that day up during the summer school session.

And OBTW: Your parents asked that, for nostalgic reasons, we update the school menu to more accurately reflect what you really need in your daily diet.

Sure. If anything, my guess is there will be more snow days. With the days now built in I bet they will be quicker to close. There are something like 12 days built into the schedule. They'll take the "better safe than sorry" route.

YOu have that backwards - the sheeple are the ones fooled into thinking waking up 12 year olds at night to go to school 2 hrs before sunrise is a good learning model. All I ever hear is 'getting up at 6 am for school is good for getting them ready for the work world.' Translation getting them ready to be sheep for the man

There is actually a fair amount of wisdom hidden in OP's post.
