The FCPD Is Failing To Disclose General Location Of Sobriety Checkpoints
Posted by: In Contempt Of Court ()
Date: October 25, 2014 11:51PM

The FCPD is not properly disclosing the general location and time of sobriety checkpoints as required in a ruling by the US Supreme Court. They did so properly for last night's checkpoint. But as indicated by scanner traffic, they're conducting one tonight: one they've failed to publicize entirely.

Now some of you may believe they shouldnt disclose any information at all, however the law is the law and they are required to. I believe this matter should not only be brought to the attention of the Board of Supervisors, but also our local Congressmen; seeing how they are in violation of a federal court order.

For those of you interested, tonight's checkpoint is at Spring Village Drive and Franconia-Springfield Parkway

I'm sure everyone who is concerned is at the bar or club checking this forum every fifteen minutes in anticipation of your post and drafting letters to their congressmen.

Coulda used this earlier I had gotten Dominos off of Backlick and was caught in the checkpoint. Was sitting in it for so long my pizza got cold. Not only did I give up my Fourth Amendment rights, but also my right to a warm pizza. We officially live in a police state that forces us to eat only cold pizza.

You ordered a pizza from the shittiest pizza delivery restaurant known to man; and then you actually drove to pick it up yourself? You should have simply lost your license for stupidity.

How long was the wait, and did they remove your right to reheat cold pizza?

What the hell is the point of a sobriety checkpoint if you advertise it in advance? I would say that I can't believe that the Supreme Court says you have to do this, but this is the same activist court that thinks that corporations are people.

Not really that bad, 10 minutes tops. But it was just long enough bring its temperature down by a good amount. And reheating is of course always an option, but it's never as good as when it's fresh out the oven. I feel like I should sue.

You got screwed out of your rights to a cold pizza and a search and seizure. You should totally sue. I would be livid to have to eat cold pizza and sit through a checkpoint sober. Fucking hell.

This thread should be about pizza toppings, and which topping are easiest to re-heat.

That would be better than some libtard complaining about his rights to get away with drinking and driving !!

What are you talking about? Only a libtard would want their Fourth Amendment rights taken away in the name of "safety".

Agreed. A checkpoint is nothing more than government intrusion into YOUR privacy. Anytime you happen to be stuck in one, make it as difficult as possible for the damn cop to do it's job. Take extra time to find your ID, registration, the fact you are in a heated car while it's standing in 10 degree weather.... Actually, I believe animals can tolerate the cold better than humans. Nevermind.

Good luck getting anywhere with that. The FCPD can murder an unarmed man who has committed no crime in his own home and then drive a tank through his door. Afterwards, they don't have to fire the man who pulled the trigger, charge him with a crime, let his name be known, or even release a report of the event:

Fuck off.

It is proven that checkpoints are a colossal waste of resources. They release the numbers many times conducting the illegal searches, and if you look at how many people were cited for DUI it's extremely low, if any at all, for the amount of vehicles passing through and how they have them up all night. They aren't saving a single "family members" life.

So, it's an illegal search and the fact that it wastes citizens' valuable time sitting in line waiting for the cop to shuffle over to your car finally then interrogate you. "Papers, please" something you would hear from a Gestapo in Nazi Germany.

The point is the law is the law. If we make exceptions for police departments then who is setting the examples.

Do we really want police departments trying to find "sneaky ways" around the laws.

ALL roadblocks are to be disclosed by the Suspreme court hearings.

It's amazing what cops find at checkpoints in addition to drunk drivers.
Stolen cars, drugs, illegal weapons, people with outstanding warrants, the list
goes on. I'm all for them. You can always bitch to the proper elected
officials if you wish.

Real drunks have their own networks of friends and bartenders that text them the locations.

All the roadblocks do is catch drunk illegals and mini-van moms with equipment or selt belt issues.

It's funny when FCPD officers get nailed in these roadblocks.

They don't check for warrants or a vehicle's registration at checkpoints, it's really only drunks and drugs. The only time they would is after they've smelled alcohol or weed on you and pulled you off to the side.

So you want police to break the law to catch lawbreakers? Is the irony of that lost on you? It may be fine with you, but I refuse to give up my Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms under the guise of safety. Especially when it doesn't even really make us safer.

Well said, brother.

The only purposes checkpoints serve is for police to violate our last remaining rights and gives them "good" publicity looking like they are doing something productive.

If they're breaking the law, why aren't you complaining to the Board of
Supervisors? If you are suspected of being under the influence you'd
better believe they'll ask for registration and even search your car
if they have suspicions you might be in possession of something illegal.
You actually think they never run across someone they've see before?

These roadblocks are a god sent for drunk drivers. They tie up at least 10-12 officers and keep them confined to one area.

If you are going to parties you should be praising these raodblocks. They suck resources that might otherwise be driving around finding parties and busting people.

Good luck finding me. I get blitz, slam shots, beer bongs, etc.. If I have too much then I just catch a cab or friend drives me.
