STERLING, Va. — The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a 29-year-old Sterling woman wanted in connection with a stabbing.

On April 1, just after 8:45 p.m., deputies responded to the 2100 block of Stanford Square for a report of a stabbing.

At the scene, deputies located the victim inside the home suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The suspect, Myeesha S. Hamilton, 29, of Sterling, left the scene prior to police arrived.

Hamilton is wanted for Aggravated Malicious Wounding. She is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and 170 pounds.

Investigators claim the suspect and victim were known to each other.

Police say the victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment and has since been released.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Myeesha Hamilton is asked to call 911 or contact Detective M. Grimsley at 703-777-1021 / Michael.Grimsley@loudoun.gov.

The victim told Detective Eric S. Cote that she argued with Hamilton before being stabbed, according to search warrant affidavit for the knife and other items in the home. Cote said he observed about eight stab wounds wounds on the woman. Cote didn't say what the argument was about, but said a 12-year-old in the home witnessed the attack and confirmed the victim's account.

The 29-year-old Hamilton's criminal record includes a 2017 conviction for assaulting a police officer over a 2016 incident. In the incident, Hamilton threw a beer in the face of an Ashburn bar manager after the manager asked her not to leave the property with the beer, according to court documents. She attempted to strike the manager with the beer glass and then pepper sprayed her. Outside the bar, she kicked a deputy in the arm, leg, and chest.

While awaiting trial in 2017, Hamilton struck a deputy at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. In a plea bargain, she sentenced to one year with six months suspended for the bar incident. Also in 2017, Hamilton's sister Shonte Hamilton wrote in a criminal complaint that Hamilton threatened her with a butcher knife after trying to turn off the ignition of a car the sister was driving their children in while it was in motion.

"My mom had to disarm her," Shonte Hamilton wrote. "We are in fear of our lives."
