Oh man, that's a good one haha! Will try that next time the IRS or Windows computer scammers try and call.
We had several cases where people had actually fallen for the scam. What they try to get you to do is go to the nearest place they sell pre-paid cards (Green Dot), buy a set amount and then read them the card information.
One person was in line at a pharmacy attempting to purchase the cards while on the phone with the scammer and FCPD happened to reach the person just in time before they purchased the cards. He attempted to talk to the scammer informing them that it was the police and the guy hung up.
