I went there 25 years ago. We all had a ton of fun. I have had a very successful career but I cannot credit that to anything that I learned at Longwood. I have never been asked to shotgun beers, roll joints or do keg stands at work so what I learned at Longwood has helped very little in my field.

When I went there it was primarily filled with education majors and the ratio was around 4 to 1 girls to guys. If it is anything like that now your son will have a great time.

Daughter a rising senior. Has 4 scholarships and longwood is one of them. I want her to have a normal college experience sans hard drugs like meth or heroin. Coke is okay

Mom wanted me to goto Med school.
Went to Richmond then MBA from GW.
Undergrad major was chemistry. Fuckin chemistry!
My only regret is that I had a college experience, and made lifelong friends.
Everyone that was in my course study was Korean or Indian!
GW mba was cut throat.

Longwood is a decent public school in the middle of nowhere. It’s network is super small but very influential. After graduating, I worked a political campaign before getting a job in the private sector as a policy consultant. I’d rate it higher than Mason or JMU tbh.

Longwood is a couple of miles from Briery Creek Lake. If you send your boy to Farmville he will have a better than even chance of catching a real hog. That alone would be worth the cost of tuition.

Hey, I went to longwood and got me a teaching degree. Married me a cute little teacher girl and now I teach at FCPS and she teaches in Arlington. We do almost no work at all and get summers off. We are living the slackers dream!

I went there and graduated with a 2.1 average after 5 years. Got me a teacher job out of it. Elementary school PE teaching is one of the worlds easiest jobs. I love my summers off.

I think Longeood University is good for admission. I've only heard good feedback from students and even some good advice about studying. I think I can share them with you here.
