Show them how many profiles you've created. Show them your posts. See if they think it is normal. What are you talking about? I'm looking to buy a mattress and through a google search came to this forum. I thought there would be some helpful people here. Guess not. What a bunch of losers. Especially this Hey Goober person. Must live a sad and lonely life.

Actually... only uses Duxiana mattresses. They have to be trucked in from Philadelphia or New York. The mattresses sold in Vienna are nasty.

LOL! My sister-in-law used to own a Duxiana store in the Seattle area. She sold it once her kids were born. We used to go in and flop on the floor samples when we visited. Very nice, but one look at the price list told you this was a worse deal than the Diamond Club. Bang-for-the-buck is a factor no matter how wealthy you are. Likely so. See Narcissistic Personality Disorder above. He doesn't view it as aberrant behavior; rather, he's just further proving what he actually believes to be the case to himself. He has no understanding that it's perceived by normal people in a negative way. Nor, being entirely self-centric, does he particularly care. That's why such self-reinforcing disorders are among the most difficult to change versus, in contrast, those where a person may recognize that they have some problem but are unable to control it.

I'm honored. Really. I started this thread only because I saw how much passion there was about Vienna and it hadn't made the list of top 50 places to live. Seemed like a good opportunity to start a typical friendly FFXU debate and man did we get one.

I'm also honored to be in the company of other such fine threads as you've listed. In all humbleness I would suggest you add to that list the "Incident at Carl Sandburg Middle School" thread. It raged for over a year. It predates my time on FFXU, yet even after the hate had died down provided me with hours of entertainment and encouraged me to try harder in my own thread development.

The beauty of my thread is that its grown and matured and take a direction that frankly was wholly unexpected. I wish to thank participants for nurturing and encouraging this thread to be more than could ever have been imagined. You, you are the ones who are the shining lights of FFXU.

I will of course respect my nomination for Thread of the year 2014™ and use my position only for purposes of goodness and truth just as every FFXU poster does.

First, while certainly worthy of merit, note that the aforementioned anger, rage, and envy, 'Actually...' is primarily on the part of one individual using multiple identities.

Second, note the the thread was purpose-built to elicit the rather predictable anger, rage, and envy on the part of said individual versus others where these are a more organic result.

Therefore, I suggest that a more proper nomination may be in the 'All Up In Yo Head' category where it stands a better chance of receiving appropriate recognition.

2. What is it about threads about Vienna that get people so worked up? There's another one right now about the Vienna town council and it's following a similar trajectory to this one, and there have been other Vienna based threads that have led to similar conclusions. It seems no other town elicits such strong emotion, at least on FFXU.
