Robbery and Sexual Assault in Alexandria Area
Franconia Police District – On Thursday, June 20, a 25-year-old California woman was staying at a local hotel in the 5700 block of Van Dorn Street for the purposes of on-line solicitation of adult services. Around 4:30 a.m. three men forced their way into her hotel room and one brandished a handgun. The victim was sexually assaulted and robbed of money and personal property.
Detectives from Fairfax County reached out to other surrounding jurisdictions and were able to locate the suspects. With assistance from the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force the three suspects were taken into custody on warrants from Fairfax County.
Michael Reed, 19, of 6143 Edsall Road in Alexandria, was charged with rape, robbery, and abduction with intent to defile, and he is currently at Fairfax County Jail.
Daqwanne Pearson, 18, of 3907 21 Street in Temple Hills, Maryland, was charged with robbery and abduction with intent to defile, and is currently in jail in Maryland awaiting extradition.
Reginald Gooden, 18, of 2954 Second Street, SE in Washington, D.C., was charged with robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, animate object penetration, and abduction with intent to defile, and is currently in jail in Washington D.C. awaiting extradition.
Detectives believe there may be more victims related to these suspects. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police.
