PURCELLVILLE, Va. (WUSA9) -- The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is revisiting a cold case of an elderly woman who went missing just nine days before her 81 birthday.
Agnes Banwell went missing on July 2, 1994. She was last seen in Purcellville, Va., police said.
Banwell was last seen wearing a white floral print over dark blue background house dress, brown shoes, and a pink sweater with scalloped edges, according to police.
She was described as being 5'2" tall, 80 pounds, with blue eyes and permed short grey hair. She was suffering from short-term memory loss and may have appeared disoriented, police said.
Police believe she was trying to return to the New York area.
