"failure to pay full time attention" worth going to court?

Last night I drove through a stoplight about 3 seconds before it had turned green. The officer was very kind and reduced the charge to a failure to pay full time attention. Although this ticket carries no points nor does the dmv find out about it, I still would like to keep a clean record.
Would anything come out of me going to court and pleading guilty? I have a +5 record, and am 20 if that helps, (I also did not upset the officer, I was very polite and respectful) I know some of my friends have gotten some sort of probation for several months, and if they do not get a ticket then their ticket will get exponged.
Is there a high likelihood that anything good would come out of going to court? I don't mind paying that extra court fee as long as my record would stay clean.

If you are financially stable then just pay the fine, if you are a college kid on the budget then you should go, you will most likely get a reduced fine by going to court. Fairfax county court is greedy. I recently had to go on a registration violation, the judge told me that they would drop the charge (I was clearly not guilty) if I was just to pay the court costs of $68. My advice is to go in if you can afford to waste 2-3 hours of your time on the weekday morning.

I can't imagine trying to challenge the charge when what he REALLY did was much more serious - nothing like going to court, have the officer describe the action, then getting your charge upgraded to running a stop light.

I would plead no contest and see how it plays out. If they do find you guilty and they probably will, I would appeal the charge and they would give you a different court date. You will then be going to criminal court (they combine criminal charges and traffic appeals all in one court) and then more then likely the prosecutor will come out and talk to you before the court begins and ask you what is it that you are trying to get out of it and why you appealed the charge. At that point if I were you I would explain that you dont mind paying the full court cost plus fine as long as the violation is dropped. I got out of a 18mph+ ticket this way, I believe they reduced the charge to some county violation that doesnt go on your driving record. It really just comes down to the revenue that the county is producing, nobody REALLY gives a shit about the fact that you ran a red light.

Oh is it possible that the judge could charge me with running a stoplight? I was unaware that that was possible since The officer downgraded the charge. When I was 16 I got a 61/35 (reckless) however the kind officer set the charge to a speeding ticket. And the judge said she even wanted to suspend my license but she couldnt since the officer gave me a speeding instead. (I took a driving improvement course in 2009 and everything was exponged.)
Does anyone know if it's possible to go to court and have the charge become a running a red charge?

No dumbass, the police officer is the one who charges you. The judge makes the decision on whether you're guilty or not. Did you just get off the banana boat?

Which means the perpendicular stoplight was still green. Which means you could have killed somebody.
And you want to go to court to fight the ticket? LOL. I'm going to go out on a limb and speculate that you don't go to Harvard.

It seems to me that you already got your break. No points and no moving violations is a pretty good outcome for what could have been a much more expensive violation. If you pay up you can forget about it and move one. Good luck.

Greg I think the next step in your "Criminal Career" is to rent a sports car...Get really wasted...And turn Rt 66 into your own personal dragstrip. Then take pics and post them here.

Make a huge deal about it in court. Tell the judge that you don't deserve to be there. Explain in great deal how you looked both way but still made the decision to run a red light (THERE WAS 3 SECONDS LEFT!!!!). The judge will understand you have places to be and don't have time to wait on silly things like stop lights.
Throw that cop under the bus. Even though he cut you a break, bust his balls. He shouldn't have given you a ticket at all!! Again, the judge will understand.
I just can't wait until I'm driving through an intersection, and someone like Greg smashes into me.
While my brains ooze into my coffee holder, Greg will be telling the cop that he ran the light "3 seconds before it turned green".
Unless of course , Gregs driving kills himself before he kills someone else.
Thats why I hope Greg gets killed soon. Nothing personal, just for my own sake.
I got into an accident and the cop gave me the ticket for "FAIL PAY FULL TIME & ATTENTION". When I go online to pay for it, It does not show any amount to pay. What should I do? I dont want to goto court.

Do this: prepay the fine = + or - $96 total
Or
Do that: show up in court and force the judge to ask the officer how you failed to pay attention and watch the judge up the fine to $100.
Prepaying assures the fine is the minimum. Showing up and forcing the officer to explain the offense give the judge the chance to up the fine uness it's a civil penalty. I've heard of fail to give attention fines reaching $250.
Hello I have a question I got a ticket for failure to pay full and attention
reason I got the ticket was I slowed down at a scene of an accident !!!! the officer said I was impeding the flow of traffic but there was no traffic I was late at night !!!! reason I slowed down was of the accident reason for me to go to court and fight ticket

How awesome of you that you looked both ways before running the light! If you want to keep a perfect driving record, how about you stop breaking traffic laws, dumbazz?! Geesh

I think the police use this term freely and it was written as full time no attention...... no one drive without attention full time....plus it in the neighborhood 5 mph and no cell phone, nothing. just have to pay the fine and admit what ever they accused you.

if this were the 1980's i'd believe you on your word, and it would sound normal as well
troll. if you ran a red in fairfax, the officer would give you a ticket for running a red light.

pay it immediately it may become due
for instance they can set a "if not paid by xxxx then court appearance is required". and you dont' know when those fucking democrats will set the date.
I'M AN EYE WITNESS SCREWED BAD BY THIS: THEY WILL NOT TELL YOU WHEN THE MONEY IS DUE, LIE TO YOU ON THE WEB SAY NOTHING IS DUE, THEN TYR TO CHARGE YOU $500 FOR BEING LATE. ON THE OATH THAT COURTHOUSE IS CORRUPT AS HELL.
sol'n: call the court clerk for a guarantee of what your payment ammount is. that won't do you any good: because online it won't say you owe anything OR MIGHT SHOW THE WRONG AMOUNT.
sol'n: go do the court clerk in person this week, pay there, and get a receipt. DO NOT LOOSE THE RECEIPT, THEY MAY STILL FUCK YOU OVER LATER
