Anyone ever taken classes through it? I saw they offer degrees for under $45 thousand. Was thinking of getting an accounting certificate through it.

You can get a accounting certificate for $1000 at NVCC

Accounting principles are the same whether taught at NVCC or Harvard

Yeah, but I get more chicks in a Harvard sweatshirt than a NVCC sweatshirt.

Get a generic sweatshirt and spray-paint VERITAS across the front.

People who would hire someone based on a certificate or degree from an extension program don't care what school name is on the certificate or degree.

Employers in general don't care whether you got a degree from a "traditional" or "extension" school so long as said school is accredited.

An accounting major at a top 50 business school will likely have at least 10 on campus interviews by the end of October, including interviews with the top international firms. If they are not pathetic losers those students will have half a dozen call back interviews at the firms, with the firms picking up travel costs, and at least one job offer by The end of Christmas break. That assumes those students didn't already have jobs lined up from their paid internships. How many on campus recruiters even bother to conduct interviews at extension schools. Do not kid yourself. The name does matter when you are starting out. It may be different ten years later or if you are working your way up through your employer.

When I was in the navy, I got to a point where I needed a graduate degree to get a promotion. A degree from anywhere would do. I was based in Rhode Island at the time and saw Harvard had an extension school with night classes. It was rigorous needless to say and was a lot of work. Anyone can enroll, but you have to pass at least 3 classes with a B average to get a chance to earn a degree. Most of my class mates washed out. My concentration was in international relations.

UVA, Georgetown and a few other schools have similar programs. I’ve had colleagues get degrees from them and never had issues getting a job.
