Your logic:

Plywood and other materials are in short supply.
People received unemployment checks/
People receiving checks do not want to work because they make more than at the job.
Therefore the people who don't want to work created these backlogs.

Your flaw:
The wood shortages were not created by not having enough people to harvest trees or create lumber products.
The lack of truckers was not created because of unemployment checks.
Chip manufacturers were, for the most part, not even involved in receiving the extra $300 a month.

The real flaw:
Believing that the unemployment checks cover everyone's entire bills.
If it did, what does this say about people's actual paychecks?
What does the extra $300 do? Probably delay people from having to take a crap-ass job right away.

Looks like you share some cognitive issues with Biden.

If no one was receiving unemployment benefits, all people would not be able to quickly change jobs if they don’t like it. On the other hand, the fact that you have lost your job does not mean that you can receive unemployment benefits and live on it, you can read about this at https://unemployment-gov.us/ In any case, if you have lost your job, then you need to start looking for a new one as soon as possible.

With the 600 and even 300 bonus on top of unemployment, a lot of ppl were making more on unemployment than their jobs. Idk bout you, but id much rather collect a check without going to work. Maybe you all have a dream job, but I sure af dont.

I spent several days in Trump Country Virginia earlier this month. Lots of businesses with help wanted signs or signs saying they were short staffed. Talking with people there you get a different story. Most of the jobs are low paying with no benefits. Employers have been reluctant to increase wages for fear that they will have to pay their existing employees more too. Working conditions and hiring practices have not changed since before the pandemic. Plus many people have picked up jobs in the underground economy.

There is another thing they told me that I don't see the public debate mentioning. Many of these people are really pissed off at their former employers. These people didn't voluntarily leave their jobs. They were laid off by employers seeking to cut costs. Those same employers then turned around and got massive checks from the government, supposedly to keep their doors open.
