Your premise is wrong. Their sexual existence is not based on "not liking penises," it's based on not liking men. In many (or at least some) instances, this is due to a bad breakup or getting dumped and losing all of their self esteem. They "go gay" to get back at men, even though they actually enjoy the physical pleasure of a penis.

In a lot of instances, it's more about revenge than anything else. Some of them get over it and come back to dick town once they realize that they've made a mistake.
