Zoo is really a stretch, more like those road side manageries you used to see in Florida or California

As bad as that Reston Zoo is, the National Zoo way leads in number of dead animals each year. That is country wide.

Super sad. Reston zoo was great but I guess there were charges of animal abuse. The new zoo and management (Roers) was much better but you couldn’t necessarily get as close to the animals...except the giraffes who you could feel from your hands. Great zoo for little kids. Sad news to hear.

National Zoo is kind of a shithole. All the good animals are usually hiding. The elephant and panda exhibit helped a lot but the others are still hiding and you can't see them.

Them giraffes died of the Covid, the fire was to cover it up.
